CAMP NOTES – 20TH AUGUST 2012
CAMP CASH COW: Camp Cash Cow went off well on Sunday despite the odd shower of rain ! The cow obliged around 5.30 p.m. and the lucky lady who pinpointed the spot is Cork lady Fiona Aherne currently holidaying in John O’Sheas Shore Acre Caravan Park in Camp. There was great excitement too at The penalty Shootout and local Dáil Deputies showed that saving goals is no easy task and our local MC Séan Barry’s knowledge of GAA paid off, Sean was as good as Wishey Fogarty any day compering events. Jason Higgins, Cork and Stephen Lyons from Limerick won trophies for the highest scores, well done lads!
Tommy Finn from Lougher with his Dog Max won a prize too and the relay races organised by Tony Casey were great fun with great participation from U/4’s to u/8’s boys and girls. Bonny Babies winners – William O shaughnessy U/2 and his sister Mercedes won the U/1 category. Tickets sales for the Cash Cow event raised E5,360.00 and between contributions and donations the event has earned Camp Community Council in a very healthy E6,000 at the time of going to press. All proceeds going towards the Camp Sportsfield Development Fund. Camp Community Council wishes to thank all everybody for their support !
Go raibh Míle Míle maith agaibh !
