BEYOND THE BROOKLYN SKY
It was Full Houses on Wednesday and Thursday night at Siamsa Tire for Michael Hilliard-Mulcahy’s Play Beyond The Brooklyn Sky. A fabulous production with a great local story line about emigrants returning to Brandon Town, this play has everything, comedy, trauma and heartache all wrapped up together in a West Kerry Community Hall setting. The Lower West and the entire Peninsula were out in great numbers to support Michael and show pride in one of their own reaching the heights as this play has done in Theatre Festivals all over the country and beyond. Michael would like to thank everybody for coming out to support him ! Congratulations Michael and well done too to the Waterford Theatre production team of actors whose performance was top class!
CAMP UNITED
We had no game this weekend but last week we beat Dingle 4 goals to 2 in the Kdl in Tralee to move up to third in the league table. Eoin O Neill put in a man of the match performance with the excellent James Crean scoring twice and James Scanlon and Andrew Finn getting one each. After a poor start to the season this was a great result against our West Kerry rivals.
Dont forget our table quiz Friday night at 9.30 p.m in O Neills, Railway Tavern, Camp. Your support will be greatly appreciated. There will be plenty of spot prizes to be raffled also on the night.

OBITUARY
The death occurred recently of John Joe Fitzgerald, Aughacasla, Castlegregory. Joe passed away peacefully on 20th October in The Ashborough Lodge Nursing Home, Milltown where he was lovingly cared for over the past 18 months. He celebrated his 90th birthday only 2 weeks previously on 10th. October. A kind neighbour and gentle person, Joe was also well known to all of us parents and children attending Aughacasla School some years back as the friendly and caring busdriver. He never raised his voice to anybody and all the children loved him. He had a great way with them and news of his passing was met with sadness at home and in faraway places too where many of the pupils of Aughacasla who travelled in the school bus now have made their homes.
| Joe was predeceased by his brother Pat and is survived by his five sisters, Sr. Frances, Sr. John the Baptist, Sr. Elizabeth, Cistercian Order, Glencairn, Waterford, Kitty and Annie, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Removal from Lynchs Funeral Home was on Monday, 21st October, at 7pm to St. Mary’s Church, Castlegregory. And Requiem Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, 22nd October, 2013 at 11am followed by interment at Stradbally Cemetary. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilís
