HIGH ACHIEVEMENT

Congratulations to Jonathan Deane, Beheenagh, Camp  recently awarded  with the Reid Scholarship at Trinity College in recognition of his high achievement in obtaining 615 point in The Leaving Certificate Examination 2012. The  Presentation was made by the Professor Linda Hogan,  Dean of Undergraduate Studies in Trinity College Dublin.

OBITUARY

The death of Catherine  “Ciss”  O Donnell (nee Dowd) of Wimbledon, London and late of Goulane, Castlegregory occurred recently in Wimbledon.   Catherine was predeceased 25 years ago by her husband Jimmy “Sand” O Donnell, of  Slieve, Camp.   Catherine and Jimmy came home regularly over the years and in the summer of 2010 Catherine visited for the last time,  meeting up with friends and family in Camp and Castle.    She reached the wonderful old age of 97 years  and was blessed with good health throughout her long life.  Catherine was laid to rest in London following requiem mass at St. Winifreds Church, Wimbledon. She is survived by her daughters Margaret and Bernie and her son John to whom sympathy is extended.

Sympathy is also extended to Karen Davey, Lougher, Annascaul and England whose mother Joan passed to her eternal reward last week.   Rest In Peace.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS!

Dai Williams is returning to Camp to celebrate his  60th birthday. The party will be held in Ashes Pub on Friday next, 15th. February  starting at 9.00 p.m.  Many of you will remember Dai who worked in ITTralee and lived down Camp Height for many years. Everybody is welcome on Friday night,  in particular  Dai would love to meet all those revellers around Camp with whom he enjoyed the craic in the old days !!

DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING

CPR and Defibrillator refresher training with qualified instructor on Saturday 2nd March in the Old School, Camp  from  3 p.m. to  4.00 p.m.  All welcome.

TAEKWON-DO

Taekwon – Do classes for children are held every Monday evening in camp Old School. The children are really enjoying the fun and games, while learning such an important life skill.
There are two classes for different age groups. Age 4-6 starts at 4pm-4:45pm  Age 7-12 starts at 5pm-6pm. If anyone would like further details please contact Barry O Connor on 087 9837252
YOGA

Mondays, 6.30 p.m. gentle slow paced yoga at Camp Old School. Wear layers of comfortable clothes. Contact Sarah – 0871637872.
