QUIZ FUNDRAISER

A table quiz in will be held next Saturday 7th. March at Ashes Bar, Camp at 9.00 p.m. All proceeds will go towards Camp Playground Upkeep Costs.  The Playground is a wonderful facility for our children. Please support.

COISTE NA N-0G

Annascaul U/6, U/8 and U/10 will resume training on Sunday March 8th. At 10.15 q.m. in The Camp Astro Turf pitch. Those who are not registered can contact Secretary mairead Clifford or register prior to training. 20 Euro per child, 50 Euro for 3 or more children.

ANNASCAUL LADIES

Congratulations to Annascaul Ladiies who won their first league game on Sunday defeating Dromid Pearses in The Paddy Kennedy Memorial Park, Annascaul in cold and freezing conditions.  Well done Ladies !

SHAVE OR DYE

Well done to all who took part and supported the “Shave or Dye” fundraiser in Ashes Bar, Camp on Saturday Night in aid of The Irish Cancer Society. If you wish to make a donation to this worthy cause, the fund is still open !   Contact – Ashes Bar or Hair Heaven, Camp.

LENTEN FAST

Annascaul Youth Club members are taking part in a 24 Hour Lenten Fast from 8.00 p.m. on Friday 6th. March ending after 7.00 p.m. Mass in Annascaul on Saturday night. Participants are asked to donate the price of a meal to Pieta House. Parishioners, particularly those under 35 are invited to take part in the fast.  Your support is appreciated.

SHAPING OUR DIOCESE

The Corca Dhuibhne Pastoral area Listening Meeting will be held at Benners Hotel on Thursday, March 5th. From 8 – 9.30 p.m. All welcome to attend this meeting which will feed into a new Diocesan Pastoral Plan. Feedback to – shapingourdiocese@dioceseofkerry.ie

OBITUARY

Sympathy is extended to Liam and Mary O Regan, Camp and all the family on the death of Liam’s mother Anne (nee O Doherty), Glasheen Road, Cork and Millstreet. Anne was laid to rest in St. Finbarrs Cemetary, Cork following requiem Mass at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, The Lough, Cork. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dilís.

 

 

 

 

LONDON KERRYMANS ASSOCIATION

Campman, Paddy Joe Crean, Knockglossbeg was elected Life President of the London Kerryman’s Association at their AGM held on 18th. February in The Kilburn Bar, London. Paddy Joe is another example of a  great Camp person carrying the flag for us abroad. Congratulations PJ !

CAPPED FOR IRELAND

Congratulations to Rian O’Sullivan, Camp who was presented with his caps for representing the Republic of Ireland Under 16 team at the UEFA Development Tournament held in Dublin over the past week.

Ireland beat Austria & Czech Republic after penalties and beat Norway 1-0 to finish top of the table.

Congratulations Rian on your wonderful achievement and  best of luck on your travels to Brighton F.C. for a weeks trial.

MICHAEL O DONNELL MEMORIAL

The Michael O Donnell Memorial Darts Tournament was held on Friday 6th. Feb. in Bolands Bar, Castlegregory and Friday 13th Feb. in The Junction Bar, Camp. Ann and John Joe would like to thank everyone who came and supported both nights and also to Mike and Bernadette Fitzgerald, Raymond Boland and to the 2 darts teams and sponsors.

This years winner are Bolands Bar Team, Congratulations ! The winners of the raffle are O Dwyers Big Box of Chocolates- Jason Quirke, Camp. Wine – Chris O Grady, Castlegregory,

It was a great night and we made €360 which goes to Kerry Branch of The Irish Kidney Association.
