The death of William Fitzgerald, Killelton, Camp occurred recently. Willies favourite band “The Flight Of Earls” were at his graveside on Friday and  “The Huckle Buck”  Willies best know party pieces was among the tunes played for him. Willie was always in good humour and he loved meeting all his friends at the weekly senior citizens dinners at Camp and Castlegregory. Willia was laid to rest in Ballinknockane Cemetary, Camp following requiem Mass at St. Marys Church, Camp on Friday. Ni beidh a leitheid aris ann.  Sympathy is extended to his family and many friends.

Derryquay NS Twist Jump and Jive

Thanks to everyone who supported our 50s night and helped to raise funds for the school.  Everyone had a great night in Keanes ‘Diner’ that was so spectacularly decorated. Particular thanks to Mary Burke and MC Dermot Waugh for planning and co-ordinating the event.  Special thanks to DJ Sean Murphy 087-6705040 who ensured the dance floor was always full and thanks to John Keane and everyone who donated spot prizes or helped in any way. A great night was had by all.

THE SOCCER

Yesterday we travelled to Killarney athletic with a very strong squad. This was very encouraging after last weeks poor turn out. We came away with all three points after winning 3 nil with the goals coming from Francis Herlihy, James Scanlon and an outrageous solo effort from James Crean. On the day the back four was solid with Gearoid O’ Shea outstanding and Eoin Curry again holding his own. Midfield battled well and came out on top although Francis could have had four goals if he brought his shooting boots!! Our two lads up front were excellent throughout. Great effort by everyone involved.

We will be looking forward to our Christmas Party on the 28th of December and we will be selling lines for our Christmas draw over the coming weeks. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

ICA

Camp ICA raised E281 for the Phillipines at Camp car Boot Sale last Sunday. Thanks to everybody who supported through donations and by purchasing from the stall on the day.
