CHRISTMAS MEMORY TREE
Remember your loved ones now deceased or far away from home in a special way this Christmas by purchasing a light on the Memory Tree in St. Marys Church grounds. After Christmas, The full list of names will be placed in St. Marys Church Camp for the entire year of 2013. A maximum of 100 bulbs are available. The lights will be switched on by Fr. John Buckley P.P. after Mass on Sunday, 23rd December. Lights are for sale at E10 each and can be purchased at the Old School, Camp at 11.30 a.m. and again after 12 noon Mass on Sunday next, December 16th. Eamonn Hickson, Lougher, Annascaul launched his new novel entitled “The History Maker” at The Hillgrove Hotel on Friday night. This is Eamonn’s first published book and is a gripping story of tragedy and survival over adversity. A great read !
Local Camp author Gerard Moore’s, Axe of Vengeance is also a wonderful book depicting the history of 6th Century Ireland and the experiences, travels and exploits of a character of the times.
And The Story of Camp Football by Eoghan O Duibhne, Curra, Camp spans an historic era of Camp football dating from 1890 to 1953. A must for all football enthusiasts !
Bríd Ní Mhorain has many published books in the Irish language. Síolta an Iomais, a lovely selection of Bríd’s own Irish Poems is one of her most recent Books of Poetry.
