CAMP DRAMA
Camp Drama Group’s wonderful performance of “Its on, Its Off” at the Old School in Camp received standing ovations from a packed house over last weekend and Bank Holiday Monday as well. Director Keith Flaherty was so right when he said at the introduction that the play would be fun and indeed it was, it was actually hilariously funny ! The cast were outstanding and they handled the twists and turns and intricate happenings of the play very well. Drama was always a popular pastime in Camp down through the years and its wonderful to see it resurrected again and another generation taking it up. The Cast of Camp Drama Group are as follows – Dympna, Irish Mammy – Ann Eager, Gerard, henpecked husband, Mike O Neill, Robert (married son) – Breda Quirke, Tina, Daughter – Karen Blennerhassett, Monica, Robert’s lover – Eileen Quirke, Angela – Tina’s mother in law to be – Hazel Evans. WORKING WAY OUT OF RECESSION CONFERENCE
Camp businesswoman and IT Tralee Lecturer, Breda O Dwyer was one of the lead speakers joining successful entrepreneur Gerry Kennelly, Tweak.com, Brian McCarthy Fexco and others at the “Working Our Way Out Of Recession Conference” organised by South Kerry Skillnet in Killarney last week . Breda O Dwyer’s lecture, a recording of which was relayed on Radio Kerry’s “Inbusiness” on Thursday evening, was awe inspiring and encouraging as was the entire proceedings. The attendance included many of Kerry’s business community and entrepreneurs working forward towards a positive future. Congratulations Breda and all involved !!

Local Camp Musician Cian O Moráin is organising a “Trad for Trocaire” fundraising night at The Railway Tavern, Camp on Tuesday 6th November at 8.00 p.m. Lots of support musicians will be taking part on the night. Please support.
