GREAT FOOTBALL WIN
Annascaul Club footballer, James Crean, Knockgloss beg, Camp scored a point with Cork Institute of Technology in the final minutes of the game.
defeating Mary Immaculate College, Limerick and winning the coveted Trench College Cup.  Congratulations James and teammates. Well done !
BASKETBALL
Campman Daire Kennelly, Killelton Captained the All Ireland Champion Mercy Mounthawk Basketball team to victory recently.
Congratulations, well done Daire and all the team.
OBITUARY
The news of the sudden death of Bernie Rohan, Deelis, Camp on Tuesday morning was received with shock and sadness by everybody.
A lovely lady, quiet and gentle, she will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.
Bernie was so well liked by everybody  and everybody who came into The Clubroom in Castlegregory where she worked will miss her dearly. Rest In Peace.
Sympathy is extended to her brother Martin, sisters Catherine & Mary (O’Connor)
nephew Joseph, niece Claire, brother-in-law Willie, cousins, neighbours, relatives and many friends.
Bernie was laid to rest in Killiney Cemetary following Requiem Mass at St. Marys Church, Castlegregory on Saturday 15th. February.

Camp Community Council are delighted to announce that a DVD of the Evening with the Legends is now available to purchase.
An evening with The Legends held in honour of Tommy Doyle & Sean Murphy last June will be remembered as one of the great events in the parish.

HISTORICAL CENTENARY EVENT
A small group of  people interested in local history came together in the Old School, Camp on Wednesday 19th February last,
the Centenary of the Ambush of Camp RIC Barracks which took place on 19th February 1920.
Over a cup of tea, local historian Sean O Morain and Author and historian and Dr. Tim Horgan each gave indepth accounts of the event and of the history of the times.
Local anecdotes and accounts of the Ambush on the night and leading up to it were also shared on the night.
A minutes silence was observed in  memory of all those involved in the War of Independence on all sides. Rest In Peace.
