The parish bid a fond farewell to Fr. Oliver Kemp last weekend. Fr. Kemp helped out in the parish for the past 11 years. Fr. John Buckley PP Annascaul and Fr. Tom O Connell, Abbeydorney concelebrated Mass along with Fr. Kemp on Sunday at St. Marys Church, Camp. Afterwards the congregation retired to the Old School for refreshments. Fr. John acknowledged Fr. Kemp’s assistance in the parish and everybody joined with Fr. John in wishing him a very happy retirement. Fr. Kemp returns to Birmingham in the near future.

OBITUARY: The death occurred recently of Bridget Crissie Mulligan (nee O Connor), Aughacasla. Crissie was a regular with her sister Kitty at the 31 card games in Dalys Bar Camp over many years. She was a wonderful character and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her husband Tom, sons Tom and Gerard and daughter Donna, sisters Kitty and Joan to whom sympathy is extended. Crissie was laid to rest in the old graveyard in Stradbally on Tuesday following Requiem Mass celebrated at St. Marys Church, Castlegregory. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.
